The second hand market in Abu Dhabi is also worth exploring. An increasing number of people relocating or simply upgrading equipment means there is always good value in the second hand market. But caveat emptor, as there will not be any guarantee. Also, a good technical knowledge is required if you chose this option, firstly to know what you are buying and secondly to enable installation.

After sales service in the UAE is still largely lacking. The place of purchase will invariably give the contact details of the service centre, these centres do not always answer their phones and are hidden away in out of town industrial estates.

Specialised retailers of top end products – Bang & Olsen, Harman House are present in the larger shopping malls, good service and of course quality products are assured.
