Nurseries & Pre-School
Abu Dhabi has an increasing choice of nurseries, with several of the newer ones located near the new residential areas.
Nurseries offer excellent facilities to aid the development of your child - physically, psychologically and academically. They are well staffed, with a high teacher /child ratio.
Acceptance age varies from one nursery to another; it is advisable to check with the individual nursery. Many accepting infants from 3 months old to facilitate the working parents and in the absence of a 'childminder' option in Abu Dhabi this proves very popular.
Some primary schools offer a pre school foundation course. Kids are generally accepted from the age of 3 years onto this programme.
Nurseries are English speaking; however some nurseries incorporate a second European language into their programme. The Arabic language is introduced at this level and basic computer skills are taught.
A nurse will be on site to help with any medical queries the parents may have and any minor incidences that may occur during the course of play…
Nurseries timings vary, with great emphasis on suiting the working parents. Several offer special programmes of ‘holiday activities’ to support working parents.
Fees vary from nursery to nursery and are payable on a term basis.
