There is a good selection of 3, 4 and 5 star hotels available as well as hotel apartments. Several new hotels are under construction to meet the expanding population needs of Abu Dhabi and the UAE.
The newer hotels – such as Shangri-la, Qaryat Al Beri and Al Raha Beasch Resort are in the outskirts of the city or on the islands and boast access to private beaches. The more established hotels – Intercontinental Hotel, Le Royal Meridien etc are in the city and close to the business hub. Many of the hotels offer well equipped business centres.

Due to the strict alcohol licensing laws in the UAE, all bars are located in hotels or in recreational centres. A great variety of restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets are found in the hotels also.
Hotel apartments are ideally suited to the new arrival in Abu Dhabi, daily, weekly or monthly rates are available and this allows the necessary time to look around and find more permanent accommodation.
