The ‘Golden Class service’ provides friendly assistance from the aircraft itself to the point of contact with a loved one or a hotel representative. This proves invaluable to elderly passengers, to those travelling with young children as well as first time visitors.   • An e-gate card system is in operation for UAE residents at Abu Dhabi airport. This greatly reduces the amount of time spent in queues for passport control. This however is not available to children so is of little use to those travelling with kids.
