Children - Tots
- Bring all regular medicines /medical records in hand luggage.
- If your child has an underlying medical issue bring a referring letter from your specialist and identify a paediatrician shortly after your arrival. Moving can be stressful and may trigger an exacerbation.
- Apply and teach your child the importance of applying sun cream regularly, eventually once old enough, your child will be responsible for their own sun protection.
- Get your child into a swim programme as soon as possible; make your child aware of the dangers of water from an early age.
- Supervise younger children at all times and especially when near water. If you have a pool in your garden, have it fenced off or covered at the earliest opportunity.
- Ensure your child’s vaccinations are up to date, remember if not so; they pose a risk to other kids as well as being at risk themselves.
- As soon as you are settled prepare a basic first aid box, containing an insect repellent and an anti-histamine cream for post bite discomfort.
