Desert Activities

  • My Move strongly recommends travelling with an organized tour on your first visit to the desert or with people who have valid desert knowledge. There are many pitfalls; tyre pressure adjustment knowledge is essential and only 4x4’s for sand travel.
  • Bring along spades and strong ropes just in case!
  • Fully charged mobile phones.
  • Drink and carry plenty water with you.
  • Temperatures drop at night in the desert so bring lots of warm clothes and blankets.
  • Bring hats and high factor sun cream as there are no shaded areas and sun reflects on the sand.
  • Bring a good quality insect repellent, camp fires and food attracts mosquito and all sorts of weird and wonderful creatures.
  • Always bring your rubbish home or dispose of it appropriately.
  • Always follow safety instructions for sand dunes /bashing.
