As Dubai has grown so has the variety and standard of entertainment on offer.
Abu Dhabi has hosted several big international bands - Coldplay, George Michael, Shakira. These concerts mainly take place at The Emirates Palace.
Abu Dhabi Music Foundation has also hosted several cultural events.
These events are advertised in the local newspapers, Time out Abu Dhabi, What’s on and in the local radio stations.
The Abu Dhabi Classics season runs throughout the winter months www.abudhabi-classics.ae, along with the Abu Jazz Festival in November and Latino Festival in March.

Movies are a popular form of entertainment in the UAE.
Cinemas are especially popular with the younger folk during the hot summer months and most cinemas run extra showings of the firm favorites during this time of year.
