Netball

Netball is the largest organized women’s sport in Abu Dhabi.

The Abu Dhabi Netball League welcomes ladies from 14 years and upwards into one of the many teams registered across three divisions.

The Abu Dhabi Netball League runs from September through to April when all registered teams battle it out for trophies, cups, shields etc.

Abu Dhabi is represented annually at the Inter-Gulf Tournament held in December. Here players have the opportunity to play against teams from the GCC including Bahrain and Muscat.

The Abu Dhabi Netball League is currently based at the Marina Royal Health Club behind the Marina Mall.

Shooting

Clay pigeon shooting has a very loyal following in the UAE and is competed by both Emiratis and expatriates. Jebel Ali shooting club is very popular and is located near the Jebel Ali beach resort and Spa.

An hour outside Abu Dhabi, similar facilities are available at Hatta Fort www.hattaforthotel.com. The resort has supervised clay pigeon ranges and archery facilities.

Ra’s al-Khaimah Shooting Club (07 2363622) will teach you to shoot and has archery facilities as well. Umm al-Qaiwain Shooting Club (06 7681900) boasts a soundproofed indoor range.
