  • Approach a number of companies and ask them to submit a written quote.
  • Draw up a short list and ask to view some jobs they have completed.
  • Tell them you would like to talk to 2/3 of their existing clients that they have undertaken similar work for.
  • Agree payment terms around stages of completion as opposed to specific dates. This will protect you against paying if delays occur.
  • Within your final quote allow an extra 10% for alterations
  • Shop around for furniture
